The Role

The Senior Developer will be a key member of the development team who will participate in the design, development, and debugging of application functionality. The Senior Developer will ensure effective communication between team members and other functional areas.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitates best practices among other team members through peer reviews
  • Assists team members in clearing hurdles in their development
  • Designs, builds, and maintains code as part of a collaborative team
  • Confers with development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions
  • Identifies problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and corrects problems or refers problems to appropriate personnel for correction
  • Maintains understanding of current Web technologies or programming practices through continuing education
  • Analyzes functional needs to determine technical requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience as a senior developer on a collaborative team
  • Full stack web development
  • Relational database experience (MySQL preferred)
  • Understanding of MVC Architecture
  • Understanding of REST with regards to web services
  • JSON, JAVA, Node.js
