Job Summary

The Scrum Master will serve as the facilitator for agile teams working under the scrum methodology.  They will serve as the point person responsible for understanding the larger development picture of each sprint, bridging the needs of project management, sales, operations and product development.


General Accountabilities

  • Guides and coaches the development team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers
  • Manage the daily agile meetings, coordinating tasks with development team, supporting the product owner, and making sure the sprint operates smoothly
  • Helping the product owner and development team to achieve sprint goals
  • Assist team members with evaluating their capacity and aligning sprint goals based on that capacity
  • Self-starter with demonstrated capabilities to coach and train lean agile team(s) for managing progress and holding the development team accountable to their commitments
  • Effective communicator to ensure development blockers and risk clarity for successful delivery; escalating these through the agreed governance structure for mitigation.
  • Remove impediments to meeting sprint goals
  • Collaborate with the product owner to ensure each sprint is successful in delivering what was committed to and value to the customers
  • Documenting, coordinating, and managing cross-team dependencies to keep projects on track
  • Provides appropriate progress tools, information radiators, and effective reporting to provide transparency on team’s progress
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related experience working with cross-functional teams as a Scrum master
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)


  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent management of details
  • Strong understanding of agile processes and scrum
